Apoquel works by targeting specific enzymes to reduce itching and inflammation associated with allergic and atopic dermatitis in dogs.
Suitability +
Apoquel is indicated for dogs over 12 months of age and at least 3 kg bodyweight, for the treatment of pruritus (itching) associated with allergic dermatitis and the clinical manifestations of atopic dermatitis. It should not be used in dogs with immune suppression, hyperadrenocorticism, or malignant neoplasia. Apoquel may increase the susceptibility to infection and the development of papillomas, and may exacerbate neoplastic conditions. Not recommended for breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs.
Care and Instructions +
Administer orally, with or without food, twice daily for up to 14 days, then once daily for maintenance therapy, as directed by your veterinarian. Ensure the dog swallows the tablet. Half tablets should be stored in the original bottle with the cap sealed and used within 14 days. Store below 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
